tarMAG is a biannual magazine about art, aesthetics, fashion and social consciousness, presenting today’s most distinguished writers, photographers, designers, artists and thinkers.
The first issue launches globally in fall 2008 with a 90,000 print run.
The debut issue cover will be an original piece of commissioned artwork by the artist-director Julian Schnabel, winner of the 2007 Golden Globe Award and Independent Spirit Award for best director, with actor Benicio Del Toro, winner of this year’s best actor award at Cannes for his performance as Che Guevara in Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming biopic, The Argentine.
Other contributors include: Juergen Teller - Matthew Barney - Terry Richardson, - Ryan McGinley - Richard Prince - Arianna Huffington - David Cronenberg
Salman Rushdie - Dave Hickey - Jonathan Lethem - Naomi Wolf - Tilda Swinton, and others.
tarMAG is printed on a sheet-fed press, uses eco-materials, 10 color process, and special state of the art printing by tarSIZ publishing at Stamperia Valdonega in Verona, Italy.
